This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the PA Breast Cancer Coalition encourages all Pennsylvanians to make those two questions a part of everyday conversations. We hope you will take action with us by reminding the women in your life to schedule annual breast cancer screenings and identify their risk for breast cancer. Thanks to the passage of Act 1 of 2023, individuals at high risk with state-regulated insurance have access to no-cost breast MRI, ultrasound, and BRCA-related genetic testing and counseling.

When diagnosed early, the 5-year survival rate for breast cancer is over 90 percent. A missed mammogram could mean a delayed diagnosis of breast cancer!
