Be a County Captain for the PBCC! We’re looking for passionate volunteers to help us take action, represent and serve women facing breast cancer across the state. If you’re someone who is passionate about breast cancer advocacy, volunteering and want to help us with life-saving legislation, this is your opportunity to get involved! Can we count you in?
PBCC County Captains will represent the PA Breast Cancer Coalition in their community. Representatives can be breast cancer survivors or breast cancer advocates.
County Captains are key volunteers and may be asked:
- To represent the PBCC at events in their County including PBCC photo exhibit openings, Grassroots Partners events, and other community events
- To help with legislative initiatives by contacting their local Senator or Representative to support PBCC legislation.
- To connect women recently diagnosed with breast cancer in their community with the PBCC so that we can send them a Friends Like Me Care Package.
- To attend the PBCC Conference each October (as our guest/travel scholarship) to network with other County Captains.
