C.A.R.E.S. Program Inspires Next Generation of Scientists

Students from Lebanon High School recently had a chance to experience hands-on cancer research at Penn State Cancer Institute in Hershey as part of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition’s C.A.R.E.S. program. Professor and genetics expert Dr. Kristin Eckert and her team organized a day complete with DNA sequencing, cancer cell examination and even zebrafish! Researchers from the ONE (Oncology Nutrition and Exercise) Group also shared their findings on the effects of exercise, nutrition and cancer.

Thank you to Penn State Cancer Institute, Penn State College of Medicine and Lebanon School District for partnering with us on this incredible day of learning and inspiration!
