According to the CDC, 1 in 4 women ages 50-74 had not received a mammogram in the past two years.
The PA Breast Cancer Coalition and Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward are partnering to change that statistic by observing Mammography Month this May in Pennsylvania. We encourage you to remind the women you love – your mothers, daughters, grandmothers, wives, sisters, cousins, aunts and friends – to schedule their annual mammograms. Your reminder could save a life. When diagnosed at its earliest stages, breast cancer has a survival rate of over 90%.
