Call or e-mail your PA House member and ask him/her to vote “YES” in support of Sen. Bob Mensch’s Senate Bill 595. The bill, which passed unanimously in the Pennsylvania Senate, will require insurance companies to cover MRIs and ultrasounds for women with very dense breasts and other high-risk factors such as personal history, family history or genetic predisposition to breast cancer.
Senate Bill 595 must pass in the PA House of Representatives to ensure that cost is no longer a barrier for any woman when it comes to the early detection of breast cancer.
