YOU can help find a cure for breast cancer! Look for the PA Breast Cancer Coalition’s Breast Cancer Research Initiative line (Line 32) on your state income tax form, choose code “A” and donate your refund for breast cancer research.

Every penny contributed goes directly to PA breast and cervical cancer researchers. By donating, you join the thousands of Pennsylvania taxpayers, Grassroots Partners and private donors who have contributed more than $4.1 million for Pennsylvania-based cancer research.

In 2020, the PBCC awarded $200,000 in grants to the following researchers ($50,000 grant to each researcher):

  • Lewis Chodosh, MD, PhD
    Penn Medicine
focusing on obesity and breast cancer recurrence
  • Anne Moon, MD, PhD
    Geisinger Clinic
focusing on new therapies to stop the growth of cancer cells
  • Richard Pomerantz, PhD
    Temple University
focusing on identifying new treatments targeting breast cancer cells affected by BRCA1 and BRCA2 genetic mutations
  • Vera Donnenberg, PhD
    University of Pittsburgh Medical Center
focusing on developing a new modality of anti-tumor cellular therapy for metastatic breast cancer
