Thank you for your interest in the PBCC’s Friends Like Me Survivor Care Packages. These packages were made possible by a community program grant from the Lance Armstrong Foundation. A limited number of packages were available starting June 15th and the demand was incredible! We are sorry to say that all the packages have been requested. The PBCC realizes this is an area of interest to our constituents, and we will attempt to obtain further grants in order to bring back these Survivor Care Packages in the future. Watch for future announcements in Pink Link, Frontline, and on our website.
Please keep in mind that our Friends Like Me care packages for women who have been newly-diagnosed with breast cancer – within the past six months - and who live in Pennsylvania are still available here.
Thank you for your understanding.
We thought you might enjoy some photos of the
process!

Stacks of empty boxes waiting to be filled.
The boxes had to be ordered, assembled, and
tissue paper inserted before any stuffing
could begin. |

the boxes. |
|

Dennis Eubanks, who is a regular office
volunteer, worked with multiple PBCC
staffers to stuff all the boxes in one day!
Quite a feat! |

The boxes were stuffed, closed, stickered
and stacked. |
|

The filled boxes were stacked in a back
room, ready for the requests! We
announced their availability in Pink Link,
our e-newsletter, and on our website on June
15th, and were inundated with requests.
One quarter of the boxes were requested in
the first 24 hours! |

Some boxes ready to be shipped to
recipients. This is just one day's
worth! |
