NAPA and PBCC Team Up

"Pink Ribbon Check-up for You and Your Car"

The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and NAPA Auto Care centers in Chester and Eastern Lancaster Counties will team up for a special Mother's Day event. The "Pink Ribbon Check-up for You and Your Car" will take place on Saturday, May 13th from 9am till 2pm in the Salisbury Township Park, behind the NAPA Store on Route 30 in Gap.

Professional NAPA Auto Care technicians will perform a free maintenance check on your car that includes adjusting the air pressure in all tires, topping off all fluids, an emissions check, a free consultation on any problems found in your car and free information on car care and safety. The Pink Ribbon Check-up will also feature a car wash for donations, vendors and door prizes every hour. Ladies will receive roses and the first 125 customers through the line will receive a free T-shirt.

In addition the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition will be on hand to provide information and remind women about the importance of early detection. The 'pink ribbon' is the symbol for breast cancer awareness. The mission of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition is to find a cure now... so our daughters won't have to. Proceeds from this event will benefit the PBCC's outreach and advocacy programs.

These participating NAPA Auto Care Centers will provide technicians and supplies, and will donate $16.00 ($2.00 per garage) for every car checked to the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition: The Car Clinic in Paradise; Miller's Service Center in Gap, Stoltzfus Auto Repair in Cochranville and Newlin's Auto Repair, Auto Tech Enterprise and Chesco Auto Repair in Coatesville. The NAPA Auto Parts Stores in Gap and Coatesville will also participate.

The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, founded in 1993, is a non-profit organization. It serves each of the state's 67 counties though programs such as the Income Tax Check Off program, Mother's Day Mammograms®, the Keystone Breast Cancer Conference and "67 Women, 67 Counties: Facing Breast Cancer in Pennsylvania." The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition's mission is to find a cure for breast cancer and to improve the quality of breast cancer education, outreach and research in the state.
