ADVOCATE AND AUTHOR TO SPEAK AT PBCC BRUNCH

- 10 AM (Ephrata, PA) The
Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition
is presenting its
President's Award
to Susan Love, MD at a special brunch Friday
May 11, 2001 at 10 AM in Dining Room A & B
on the Main Floor of the Hershey Medical
Center. The
PBCC is honoring Dr. Love for her leadership,
compassion and dedication in the field of breast
cancer research, education, outreach, and advocacy. Dr.
Love is an Adjunct Professor of Surgery
at UCLA and the Medical Director
of the Susan
Love, MD Breast Cancer Foundation. She is
the author of DR. SUSAN LOVE'S BREAST BOOK,
termed "the
bible for women with breast cancer" by
the New York Times. On a local level Dr. Love wrote the foreword
to the SHOW ME book. This compelling project
by the Breast Cancer Support Group of Hershey
Medical Center is a photo collection of breast
cancer survivors' lumpectomies, mastectomies,
and breast reconstructions. The SHOW ME
book is a tool to help women and their doctors
explore the best surgical options available
for each woman. Pat Halpin-Murphy, PBCC President and Founder states, "The
PBCC is pleased to present this recognition
to Dr. Love for her efforts to help women and
their
families through the physical, emotional and
spiritual recovery from this disease. We know
that working together we can find a cure
for breast cancer now. so our daughters won't
