EPHRATA, Pa. – Heather Hibshman, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, was selected as one of The Central Penn Business Journal’s Forty Under 40. This honor recognizes the region’s top young, dynamic business leaders under the age of 40 who are working to shape the future of Central Pennsylvania. Heather was among the forty individuals recognized during the twelfth annual awards reception at the Hilton Harrisburg on October 17.
The forty winners are a select group of individuals who have achieved notable success and demonstrated strong leadership both within and outside of their chosen field. They share a commitment to professional excellence and the community.
Heather was selected for her enthusiastic approach to her job as executive director of the PBCC. She began working for the PBCC as its first paid employee, and has been with the organization ever since. She embodies leadership in her day to day interaction with staff, the PBCC board, and the breast cancer survivors, women, and families that the organization serves.
“Heather’s service to the coalition has been priceless,” said Pat Halpin-Murphy, President & Founder of the PBCC. “She shines in her role as executive director and has really helped to grow our organization since she was promoted to the position. We are truly blessed to have her vibrant enthusiasm to help guide and shape the PBCC to meet the ever-changing needs of breast cancer survivors and their families here in Pennsylvania.”
In addition to being honored at the awards reception, the Forty Under 40 award recipients were profiled in a special supplement to the October 20 issue of the Central Penn Business Journal. This issue featured the forty men and women who have been making headlines in their careers and their communities.
Winners were chosen by a panel of independent judges including: David Bode, VP-Corporate Services for Rock Commercial Real Estate; Tammy Shearer, Owner of The Camera Box; Jennifer Thompson, President and Executive Director for St. Joseph Health Services, Inc.; and Chris Zampogna, General Manager of JFC Staffing Associates.
