Mammograms save lives. You can bank on it.
HARRISBURG , Pa . -- This Mother’s Day the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC) and Commerce Bank invite you to think of all the women in your life and give them (and yourself!) a vital life-saving Mother’s Day Mammogram â . Early detection with a yearly mammogram, annual clinical breast exam and monthly breast self-exam are the best defenses against breast cancer.
Mother’s Day Mammograms ® connects women forty and older who meet income guidelines and who have little or no insurance with facilities providing FREE mammograms. Special Mother’s Day Mammogram â brochures are available at all Commerce Bank locations in Central Pennsylvania .
Interested women can determine eligibility by calling toll-free, 1-877-MAMMO-PA or 1-877-626-6672 through May 19 th. The toll-free line is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and operated by Family Health Council of Central PA. Operators are available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday starting May 2nd.
FREE MAMMOGRAMS are provided for women 50 and up through the Pennsylvania Department of Health's HealthyWoman Program.
Mammograms for women 40-49 are available at the following participating healthcare facilities:
- The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, Berks County
- Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Dauphin County
- Ephrata Community Hospital, Lancaster County
- The Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon County
