Plates Feature Pink Ribbon; $10 of Plate Cost Goes to the PBCC
EPHRATA, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and PennDOT are pleased to announce the availability of the official Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Awareness specialty license plate. This license plate, which features a pink ribbon on the left side of the plate, is available through the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition for $32.50. Ten dollars of the fee will go to the PBCC to help fund their programs and initiatives. PennDOT will not accept any applications that come directly from individuals – all orders must be first processed by the PBCC.
“The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition breast cancer awareness license plates will serve as constant reminders to motorists and passersby of our ongoing fight against breast cancer,” said Pat Halpin-Murphy, president and founder of the PBCC. “Carrying the message of breast cancer awareness to people across Pennsylvania and the nation has never been easier.”

The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, founded in 1993, is a non-profit organization and the only statewide grassroots organization that speaks to and for breast cancer survivors. This year, more than 12,000 Pennsylvania women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. More than 2,300 will lose their lives to the disease. The PBCC’s mission is to help find a cure for breast cancer and to improve the quality of breast cancer education, research and outreach in the state. |
