WHAT:

The Pennsylvania Bowling Centers Association hosts a legislative reception and teams up with the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer.

All legislators are invited to attend. There will be a special one game tournament at 7 p.m. and legislators will team up with a bowling center owner to bowl one game to be Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Bowling Champion.

Great food and drinks will be served throughout the evening along with the opportunity to enjoy America’s favorite participatory sport – bowling!

WHEN:

Monday, June 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

WHERE:

Red Crown Bowling Center , 2471 Sycamore St., Harrisburg 17111

WHY:

The Bowling Centers Association is contributing $5,000 to the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition. The winner of the one game tournament will be asked to award the check, along with representatives of the Pennsylvania Bowling Centers Association, to Pat Halpin-Murphy, President & Founder of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition

Pat Halpin-Murphy, president and founder of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition said, “We are thrilled that the Pennsylvania Bowling Centers Association thought of us and are looking forward to an exciting evening. With the help of local groups we can “strike out” breast cancer.”

NOTE: The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, founded in 1993, is a non-profit organization and the only statewide grassroots organization that speaks to and for breast cancer survivors. This year, more than 12,000 Pennsylvania women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. More than 2,300 will lose their lives to the disease. The PBCC’s mission is to help find a cure for breast cancer and to improve the quality of breast cancer education, research and outreach in the state.
