April 2005
At the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, April brings us a photo exhibit opening in Pittsburgh, an Income Tax Check-Off event in Lancaster, grassroots community events in Slippery Rock and Bloomsburg, and the Mother’s Day Mammograms® kick-off event in York. In addition, we will send out 50-75 Friends Like Me care packages to newly-diagnosed women.
My job is never boring. Not even close. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s thanks to our community advocates, corporate partners, local event fundraisers, volunteers and survivors that we keep such a full calendar. I continue to be impressed with the commitment and efforts of each of these groups. Click this link to take a look at our upcoming events calendar.
Special thanks as well to the PBCC staff. They continue to plan and manage all these wonderful events, fundraisers and press conferences. They keep us on task, make sure the right materials get to the right event, and travel the state wherever they are needed. If you haven’t done so in a while, click the link to pay them a well-deserved visit.
I hope you are as busy as we are this spring. But if you’re not, maybe you would consider becoming a PBCC volunteer. We can always use a helping hand.
Happy spring!
