CAROL BURKHOLDER Office Manager Carol began working at the PBCC in January, 2001. When she was hired, she wasn’t even sure it was going to be a long-term, full-time position. She says she has met some amazing men and women in the past ten years and continues to be in awe of the courage women have as they face the breast cancer monster. She loves seeing that every day the nine people working at the Coalition are making a difference! Carol’s job is never boring! It’s her you will hear on the phone when you call, and she has learned from 10 years on the phone that “everyone has a story” and needs someone to listen to it. She can’t imagine working anywhere else. |

KIM EUBANKS Data Manager Kim came to work at the PBCC in August of 1999. At first she did receptionist-type duties but quickly became the designated database person. After much on-the-job and classroom training, she is now the self-appointed "Database Diva" who knows every one of the 60,000+ names in the PBCC's database! (Well, OK. Not every one. But lots!) One of her favorite PBCC tasks is collecting donations for Friends Like Me care packages. She loves her job and now can't image working anywhere else! Kim lives within a few miles of the Ephrata office with her cat, a one-eyed adopted sweetie named Onyx. Some of her favorite things include reading, knitting, watching football and reality TV, playing games on her computer and iPad, and reading blogs. |

DOLORES MAGRO Director of Patient Advocacy Dolores started with the PA Breast Cancer Coalition as a consultant for the first conference in 1995, and became a full-time employee in 1997. For the next several years her time was divided between the annual conference and the Mother’s Day Mammogram program. The experience gained through the mammogram program provided excellent training for her current position as Director of Patient Advocacy. While the PBCC advocates for all women in Pennsylvania through programming and legislative change, Dolores advocates on a one-on-one basis for women who might otherwise fall through the cracks in the system. She helps them navigate their way toward accessing quality medical care. It is a job that is both challenging and rewarding and she feels blessed to work with colleagues who support one another in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Dolores is also a singer/songwriter, volunteers at hospitals in Philadelphia with the Musicians on Call program, and is an avid Phillies fan. |
