Director of Patient Advocacy and Conference
Development
Dolores Magro joined the PBCC as a part-time
consultant for the first PA Breast Cancer
Coalition Annual
Conference in 1995. She came on board as
the second full-time staff person, following
Heather, in January 1996 to manage the Mother's
Day Mammograms® program. In the years that
followed, her work year was divided between
Mother's Day Mammograms® and the
conference. As the conference grew in size
and scope, the focus of her responsibility turned
to sponsor development. The expertise gained
through helping women participating in Mother's
Day Mammograms® to find the services they needed
eventually evolved into a new role as Director of Patient
Advocacy, one she finds both challenging and
rewarding.
She is blessed with two wonderful children who are
her best friends...Jennifer, who works for Liberty
Mutual insurance and lives in Marlton, New Jersey, and Michael, a
clarinetist
playing old-time New Orleans jazz in New Orleans
and New York.
